What is a Columbarium?
A Columbarium is a permanent structure composed of a collection of niches designed to house cremated human remains.
Here in the Parish of Gosnells we have a Columbarium behind the Church of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament built for our parishioners and their families. The Columbarium affords church members and their families the opportunity to select a final resting place within the environs of the parish church which has been central to their lives.
The Columbarium area is maintained by the Gosnells Parish Columbarium committee in a clean and dignified condition. The Committee reserves the right to remove all unauthorised objects that detract from the beauty of the Columbarium.
Memorial Wall
The Parish has a designated Memorial Wall in the Columbarium area, for installation of Memorial Plaques in remembrance of loved ones who are buried or interred elsewhere.
Plaques
Columbarium and Memorial Bronze Plaques are of standard design and size. Installation is included in the cost of the plaque. The words and symbols (motifs) are to be discussed at the time of ordering, but shall be in accordance with the guidelines of the Gosnells Parish Columbarium.
